FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 20
Mark 1:12-13 And the Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. He was in the wilderness for forty days, tempted by Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels waited on him.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday which falls on February 25 this year. The 40 days of Lent ends with Easter Sunday. During the days of Lent, remember that Christ too was tempted, that He was human as are we. And during this time, we are especially aware that God is with us in times of trouble and in times of joy for He knows what it feels like to be human.
Prayer: Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay close by me forever and love me, I pray.
